Carqueja and Pineapple Tea

Ingredients

  • Peel of 1/2 a pineapple
  • Peel of 1 orange
  • 1 tablespoon of carqueja (or Baccharis trimera)
  • 1 tablespoon of ground ginger
  • 1 liter of water

Preparation Method

In a pot, place the water, ginger, and the pineapple and orange peels. Bring to medium heat and let it boil for 3 minutes. Afterward, turn off the heat and add the carqueja. Cover the pot and let the tea steep for 5 minutes. Strain and serve immediately.
